An Update on our Sunday Meetings and the Coronavirus
Below is a letter from Bro. Rick and Chairman of Deacons Randy Murphree Dear Church Family, A month ago, a church leadership team met and discussed plans for worship and church programming considering the reopening of our state in the midst of the corona pandemic. At that time, it seemed likely that we would be able to safely unite the two worship services. But in light of thecontinued infection rate in our state, the deacons feel that it is best…
CFBC Return to In-person meeting Guidelines
Dear Church Family, On Monday evening, Randy, Jonathan, and Barry, met with Chris, Wesley, and I to discuss the process of reopening according to the recommendations of our governor and state health officials. We are all so excited to have the opportunity of meeting again together after such a long period of time. We remain aware, however, that the danger posed by the COVID 19 virus is still very real and we feel heavily the responsibility of protecting the congregation…
What we’re doing due to the Corona-virus
Hey y’all. Due to guidelines laid down by the CDC, the ADPH, and the Jefferson County DPH we have suspended public gatherings of the Church for the next few weeks until those guidelines change. These gatherings include Sunday school, worship services, Wednesday night bible studies, baby showers, yard sale fundraisers, and more. We do not do this lightly, nor because we do not want to gather together, but out of a sense of Love for our fellow brothers and sisters…

Sunday afternoon the Deacon body meet…
Fall Update
Fall is here and wow is it cold! It seems like only three weeks ago we had 90 degree days and now we can’t get out of the 60’s! It’s a little shocking, but we’re glad to not be sweating anymore. A lot has been going on since our last update. We’ve started and as of this Wednesday will complete our study of the 9 Marks of a Healthy Church. We love what God has been teaching us through his…
Fresh Starts
With the end of Summer upon us and the beginning of a new School year looming larger each day, we often get down thinking about a lack of freedom as students, or a return to normalcy and routine as adults. So often, our goals as adults and children are at odds with one another due to this. Students cling to what freedom the summer provides as if it will never come again, and adults long for the days when thing…
Thanksgiving – 30 Days of Gratitude
In November, we are celebrating 30 Days of Gratitude. Each day this month, follow along in the journal with a brief devotional and a place to record things you’d like to give thanks for. This goes along with a new sermon series beginning November 4 where we will be giving thanks for God’s Presence. Join us! Click here to download your journal or pick up a printed copy at the church.
