The members of Cleveland First Baptist Church, as an expression of our commitment to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, are seeking a part time Bivocational Youth Director.
This individual should actively show a love for Christ and a growing relationship with Him. Should be an active participant in the body of Christ. They should feel called by Christ to live a life in ministry, lived according to scripture and one which reflects their Biblical beliefs.
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Seek out, disciple, and minister to youth, especially those that are lost
- Help youth grow their relationship with God
- Attend activities/events that the youth may be involved in within the community
- Develop relationships with the parents, especially those that do not attend church
- Develop and oversee a youth leadership team
- Plan and organize youth activities and trips with the help of the adult and youth leadership teams
- Create lesson plans and teaching schedules with the help of the adult leadership team
- Assist in recruiting additional adult volunteers from within the church or parents when needed
- Plan and organize activities with other program leaders that include the entire church body
- Encourage youth to be involved in other aspects of the church and help them form relationships with other church members
- Be involved in a mentorship program with the pastor and possibly other leaders of the church
Experience in youth ministry preferred. References will be required during the interview process. If selected, candidates must be willing to have a background check and driving record check.
